Default Low fuel light

hi ,

I have a 1996 civic Ek3 Exi 4DR manual, and i don't get low fuel light ever. So i went to check with my electrician and found that my fuel tank floater signal harness only has 2 pins on it. Is there a possible way to install the low fuel light or this is a NO GO situation ???

Did check other things like the cluster for the actual bulb and the relay fuse? Would also help to have a picture of the wiring configuration.

Hi ,

I managed to remove the cluster and check the back side and also the fuel tank floater signal socket.. but it doesn't seems to be wired at all ... im just curious to know that even 92 EG's has low fuel light why would they remove such a common feature from a vehicle ???? here are some saps i took while i remove the cluster. If that soo Honda didn't want a low fuel light there..... is there any possible way to wire something like that i wonder ??? any suggestions????

circled ones did not have any bulbs in them

I put a flash light and checked if there's any low fuel light there...

You can find a proper low fuel sender with necessary sensor for the light and then add the wire to the cluster. I did in my 92 civic, same procudre.

This procedure is for 92-95 but should give you the right idea for 96-00. https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-.../#post45005986
