lots of newb questions! *engine*
ok i have a 2000 DX which you all know is a slow car. i was told to do a mini me swap(since as of now i dont have the money for a real swap), which as soon as i get the money im going to do. i realised that doing the swap virtually makes my engine a d16 and not a d15, even though it was originally a d15. so my next step after that would be to turbo, would i buy a turbo for a d15 engine or d16? and on the topic of turbos, i want a cheap (not quality, price) turbo that bolts on. whats a good website to look at those? and my friend said he can hook me up with a mini me swap for 500, all installed and everything. good deal?
wow that was a long first post thanks to anyone that replies.

with the exception of the ep3.

Your motor isn't going to become a 1.6 just by slapping the D16head onto your D15 block . You have to stroke it to 1.6, which isn't even worth doing. Your other question about the turbo, any D-series turbo will work.

But you must know you can just slap a turbo on and hope to run 12s! you gonna build up your engine (and that doesn't mean a ebay exahust muffler and a intake tube with a auto-zone filter) it means internals. other wise your nice 00' honda might not but holding up with the other stock 00' honda for much longer.

This man speaks the truth.
Search around and research what you want to do. What do you want to do?

its not a d15...its the y7 and a mini-me for 500 installed is a good price, now if it wasnt installed, that would be outrageous
edit: and any d-series turbo exhaust maifold will bolt up to any d-series engine, and yeah, search is your best firend, there is a massive write up by one of the mods (bauley Civic) to just see what all is involved with doing a mini-me....so yeah try and search
