Lose the cat?!?!
Alright, so far i've heard mixed opinions. I just got an exhaust and am wondering whether i should now take out the cat. I mean, i've heard that the cat on a 93 Civic Cx is free flowing enough already, but i've also heard many forumites say that a high flow cat, or no cat will up the HP a solid 3-6 more hp. What should i believe?!? Btw, will it be insanely loud w/o the cat? And when i get headers next week, what happens to the cat then?!?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Well if I were you I'd save the money for an engine swap. You can only go so far with your little 8-valve.

get a swap....but if you live in an area where emissions isnt a problem and cops will leave you alone...just leave the cat off.......it gives some more horses and is loud as hell....well for all b-series engines that ive heard it on its "deafening"...but ya if i could run it without a cat i would do it...but i live in cali and coppers dont like that

CX has the 70hp 8valve engine, removing the cat does clear the exhaust flow area though, allows for better flow through.
