What problems are you talking about exactly?

My B18 swap was easy.

I have to say over the years I haven't had many problems at all with my B swap.
I used as many OE parts as I could.

My opinion on reading a bunch of nightmare swap/build threads here is, no research, no plan, no manuals, no clue, incompatible parts list that they made up themselves instead of following a tried and true swap guide-mainly because they are being cheap.

If you plan and execute without rushing, you will have little to no problems.

Most of the swaps these day are complete hacks

They are hastily done, using poor quality parts, and engines that are close to on there last leg.

Be patient, buy quality parts the first time, and maintain the engine and you shouldn't have any issues.

I've had many swaps done, driven them for years, no problems.

People who have problems...there are reasons why.....

- as mentioned, hack jobs (missing parts, or make-shift junk)
- use non oem parts (cheap parts)
- cut corners (should replace old parts, but don't)
- wiring is over looked

both of these swaps can be put into all 92-00 with oem parts except maybe modding the cat/exhuast a little and adding a couple of wires if needed depending on model. there is no reason these swaps should be any less reliable than they would have been in the original car.

Most issues seem to be either installation error or part issues ranging from poor quality to poor fitment/incorrect application, and people buying bunk motors and trans. Unfortunately there are a lot of shady people in the honda scene selling parts, but there are a lot of good people too

I have had my swap from hmo for 8 years and over 100k, with no issues
