Looking to sell my 00 si.
First, I know this should be placed in the classified section, but I want to get some opinions first before putting it there. Im trying to sell my car because I want to take care of some important financial things. Car is a Civic Si 2000 with 90 K on it.
It has a salvage title becuase it got hit at the right rear quarter panel. All is fixed. Car runs like new with tranny recently replaced, new stage 1 clutch kit, new Brembo blank rotors w/ PBR pads, new tires, and a Skunk 2 dual bend short shifter installed. Also the car has a new paint job. I probably put about 3,200 dollars into the car since I bought it for 9,000. How much you think someone will pay for this car, and how much should I sell it for?
If someone would be kind enough to carfax this me it would be great, becuase I would like to know the full history of the car. Here are some pics...

Since it's salvaged i don't think you'll get too much for it. I'd say start with 5500. I would think that's even high for a salvaged car. Good luck

I'd say try to sell it first for 9000 and drop to 8500 if it doesn't sell too well.
Or you could try 10500 if your girl is included with the deal.

Mmmm...thats gonna be hard.
God forbid if this happen. What if the car got totaled in a accident. How much will my insurance cover the car?

Depends on your insurance. Some insurance companies won't even carry collision insurance on a car with a salvage title.
Your car won't sell for more than $6500, unless you find someone stupid to buy it. The salvage title kills the deal. I sold my clean, stock '00 Si with a good title and 77,000 miles for $8900 last year, and that's about the max I would pay for an EM1 these days.

Unfortunately for you, your cars condition is poor based on the salvage title. it says you need an independant appraisal. $5500 is probably right
If i were you I wouldnt sell it unless its your weekend fun car and you have something else to drive around. Having your girlfriend drive you places is not good.

Yeah..it sucks but If I had that car..i couldnt bear to watch it be sold for like 6 grand.
You might as well just keep it, its too fun of a car to get rid of that cheap.
Good luck with whatever you end up doing though. If i had the money..i'd LOVE to give you 7 grand for that car.

nah, you could easily get way more than 5,500 for that.
clean SI, you should keep it

Re: Looking to sell my 00 si. (klomast3r)
it's sad but true, cars with salvage title sell for no more than 40% of the value of the same car with a clear title.
Also, it makes no difference how much you put in to it, that money is lost.
I put over 7K in my hatch on top of what I paid for it, but if I were to sell it now, I wouldn't even get what I paid for it stock (and mine has a clean title).
But look at it this way, you had it, and you had fun with it... every hobby cost money
