Looking for p28 ecu
I have a 93 civic dx non vtec and I'm doing a swap to vtec but was told I needed a p28 automatic ecu... Is that correct?

If you're going to keep the automatic you need a P28-A5x found in the automatic EX. The last digit, x may be 0, 1 or 2. The 5 in the last group of numbers means automatic.
Almost every writeup you find on the web will be about a manual transmission version. No one tries to make an automatic Civic faster.

The mini-me write ups will not be very helpful and if anything, could be extremely misleading.

Can actually get away with keeping the auto tranny when upgrading to the 5th gen Si motor. The nice part is, is all that is required is running two wires and finding that P28 Auto ECU (of which I already have thanks to someone on H-T). Other than that, it's all plug and play.
