looking into buying a 00 civic hatch
before you flame i have a crx so i don't know anything about the newer civics. i found a dx hatch clean tittle with 144xxx miles and bone stock. i talked to the owner on the phone and he sounded like an older gentleman. i just had a few questions.
1- is 4000 a good deal?
2- is the dx dual point or multi point.
3- is there anything extra needed to swap in a dual cam?
thanks for your help in advance.

Re: looking into buying a 00 civic hatch (limpy)
the dx's come with the d16y7 i belive... doesnt seem like a great deal, but if its really clean and stock, not bad.
well to swap in a "dual cam" Im guessing you mean B series witch would require b series motor mounts, shift linkage, different axles. There is a D series dual cam the JDM ZC... I know they are direct swaps in EFs not sure about eks..
sorry i couldnt help you with more.. just my 2 cents

Re: looking into buying a 00 civic hatch (Panda Eg6)
ya sorry i was vague about the dual cam. more than likely an ls. so i would just need the regular stuff needed to do a swap. as in i would not have to worry about any wiring issues? thanks again.

You are able to use stock motor mounts and i belive stock shift linkage for a b series. The zc is a pointless swap in a Ek IMO.I would suggest a b18.
And yes all 96-00 hatchs came with a d16y7(multi port)

negative on the b-series, but yea zc would be pointless..
