Looking for a hi flow cat
I am looking for a high flow cat for my 2000 Civic SI. Needs to pass emissions

Re: Looking for a hi flow cat (Cevans18)
hmm .. look at RS*R exhaust or Greddy or something, budget would help.

Re: Looking for a hi flow cat (Cevans18)
i have one in stock....see my sig....call for info!

I'm pretty sure the only Hi-Flow cats that will pass emissions are Catco and Carsound. Looks into those two companies.

Re: Looking for a hi flow cat (Cevans18)
check out random technology too

Like the guy a couple posts up said, Carsound is good shit. I have a highflow one just sitting here waiting to go in along with the rest of my turbo goodies. I did lots of reading before finally picking one up. $30 or so on ebay for a 2.5"

I would go with a carsound they work great and are cheaply priced https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Re: Looking for a hi flow cat (Cevans18)
ok, with the carsound what size do i need and do i have to cut the old flanges off of my old cat and weld them on to my new one
|
I second Random Tech. My friend had to replace almost all of her exhaust in order to pass emissions when she first got the car and we decided to go with Random Tech. The staff is very helpful and the cat was bolt on no hassles.

I'd go with the Carsound. They work in conjunction with Magnaflow.. or are a subcompany of magnaflow. Good stuff.

Re: Looking for a hi flow cat (Cevans18)
I have an 04 and the cat and down pipe is all one piece I am having a shop make me a larger down pipe that cuts out the cat (I don't have emissions tests). I mat be wrong, but I think that you can remove just the cat on 2000s if so just have a friend weld you up a test pipe save your old shit and put it back on just before emissions. That is what I would do, but I don't know how shit goes in your state
