Alright like the subject says I need a header for a 1999 Civic Hatchback with the stock D16Y7 engine. The thing is that Honda did something different with this model. The cat is bolted directly after the exhaust manifold, unlike the other hondas where the cat is under the car. Any info or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Are you looking for a stock header? If so, your best bet is to find one someone took off in favor of an aftermarket header in the classifieds.

For an aftermarket header, you need to get the header for the EX, along with the cat for an EX and relocate the cat to under the car. I had to do the same thing for my HX.

just get a dc 4-2-1 header and then get a custom straight pipe fited at a muffler shop, if you have a stock exhaust, it should sound raspy like a can w/ a pebble in it. sounds really good imo. if you dont want a straight pipe just find a used cat and then get a catback exhaust too.

Im guessing that I will have to extend the o2 sensors also right.
