Default Looking to get my 95 Del Sol Running -- Just purchased D17, What Now?

I'm looking to get my 95 Del Sol running again, I just purchase a D17 Long block for cheap.

Can I just swap out my Dizzy , Intake + exhaust on to the D17 Head..

... Or Do I have to mate the D16 Head to the D17 Bottom end...

Any Info is Greatly Appreciated!

Thanks!

d17 are junk if you ask me they all seem to burn a ton of oil just look for a jdm motor like d15b or a used d16z6 or d16y8 lots of other d series that would work better

d17 motor is different from a d16. the heads are different and arent interchangeable. and its coil on plug. doesnt use distributor nor wires. different computers. etc.

What's wrong with your D16? You can rebuild a single cam pretty cheap. It's under $500 to rebuild a motor if you do the assembly yourself. You just need a clean area and some time to check things while you put it together. Oh, and a engine stand ($50 at harbor freight, and an extra person to hold things)
