Looking for an ecu program for my 00 Si
I have a 2000 Si with a fujitsubo header, apexi intake, custom 2.25" exhaust, itr clutch and flywheel. I use the car for my daily driver as well as HPDE (Road Racing) events one a month. I was looking at maybe getting a chip for my car but i dont know of many options out there. Can anyone give me some info on this. On a side note, i have a skunk2 obd2-obd1 harness, i dont know if that will help with chip options since i can go to an obd1 ecu pretty easily.

obdII is not economically viable to chip at this time (well not yours anyway).
you said you have a harness, do you have a p28, 30 or the like too? If so can I can help ya.
and no I don't charge money except for the cost of the ROM/supplies if needed.

Re: Looking for an ecu program for my 00 Si (GimpyAccord)
I dont have another ecu but i was thinking of maybe getting one, if it would be worth it, depeding on the cost benefit of getting a new ecu and chipping it and the amount of power and torque i will gain. Does anyone know how much power/torque can be realistically gained by a chip?

expect ZERO gains really unless you put the car on a dyno, every car is different!
there is NO one for all rom. anyone else saying otherwise is just being stupid.

I agreee with GimpyAccord, I have been tooling around with the idea of chipping Obd2 ECU's but there going to cost some serious money $350+. It will be able to use a similar program that you might find on a chipped P28 Obd 1 Ecu.

Re: Looking for an ecu program for my 00 Si (SOUNDEFFECTS)
thanks for the help guys. i was just looking for a little more pep from my car without opening the head or anything else. I don't really want to mod the car too much past stock, but wanted a little more out of it. Any other suggestions?

weight reduction, save some weight, improve times and possibly gain better gas mileage , although i think gettin a VAFC and having it dynoed and minor adjustments made, would be better then buying a chipped ECU.

Re: Looking for an ecu program for my 00 Si (igotyofire)
I bought a P28 for $75 bucks. Sent it to Kenji for his chip and his OBD2b --> OBD1 conversion harness. I've never been happier. Invest in an AFC for fine tuning of fuel. Any chipped ECU is going to run rich, especailly top end.
