Lookin for a HB, suggestions?
What’s up folks, new here, and few questions to start. I’m looking to buy a Civic hatchback ’92+. First of all, what is the best year to grab for this car? I like the look of the ‘96+ so I’d kinda like to go that rout. What kind of performance mods and engine swaps can be done to these cars? Thanks for the help, and please excuse my lack of knowledge when it comes to Hondas, as I have been working on a ’91 Isuzu Impulse up ‘til now.

you will find out everything and more than you ever wanted to know by using the search function. it is your best friend. these types of questions come up a few times a day and people get really sick of answering all of them over and over.
a quick answer to your question though. 92-95 cx and vx hatches are the lightest from the factory. just under 2100 lbs. the dx is a little heavier and the si is a pig( i know i have one) any B seris engine will go into any 92-2000 hatch with no problem at all. very easy swap. h22's will go in with a little more work and a mount kit.
are you building a street car or a track car or what? when you ask questions on this site please be very specific and you will get plenty of knowlegable answers.

Use all the resources available to find the best you can afford(auto trader, ebay, classifieds, newspapers). As far as what can be done performance wise, you are only limited by your budget and imaination. Good luck on the hunt.
P.S. the search function at the top right hand corner is your best friend.

i got a 92 cx hatch it's the lightest of that year i think so i think u should go with the cx if you don't care about power steering and a sunroof
good luck

The car will be my daily driver, so some performance mods will be done, but not much else. Nice to know that about the cx and vx trims, light is good
Yeah, I'll use the search, my post was a hello and a question actually. Kill two birds with one stone and all
btw, nice ride Apex. If I were a little closer it would be tempting.
