look what happened to my brake pads........

i would say yes, but wait for more educated people to chime in
unless that chip is going to cause the brake pad to be weak and maybe crack later, id think it would be ok. all you are losing is a little surface area

Yeah, thats how they box them...pretty shitty.
You should be fine to use them, its the structure of the matierial that would make them still viable.
Id make a complaint, however. You may get some reimbursement.

i love the picture with the chip because just above it , the box says high performance brake pads... just thought it was funny. To the poster, should be fine but i would complain because what the hell is the reason for paying shipping and HANDLING???

brake pads like o2 sensors are not to be dropped. if you really want to use those pads, take them to get grinded. i forgot the actual term, but there is a machine that grinds down brake pads to make them even and flat... but you have to do this to all your pads...the pads should not be uneven, this will result in brakes that grab.

They are a performance pad, constructed of a much harder and more brittle material than an average pad; so they are more likely to do something like this. They should be fine when installed. Give them a call if you're concerned to see what they say.

Re: (dohcVTECeg2)
You think that's bad, take a look at mine
Yours is just a poorly bonded pad, and additional portions may start to crumble over time/use. I suggest you get a new set from AEM.
