A little vid of my EG8 Turbo Hybrid
I really don't post out here, but you guys seem to be able to answer a lot of my problems when I have them so I'm going to try to start coming out more often.
My site is http://civic.ibadesigns.com. I still need to update the pics, but here's a couple for you:
And Here's the video - ~10MB
Enjoy.

Re: A little vid of my EG8 Turbo Hybrid (jigga008_99)
It's been raining on and off here for like 2 weeks and I just haven't had time to clean it. I'm burning off some oil and it's being discussed in TECH right now. Trying to figure out why.
Thanks for the props.

Dude, I loved your hatch! Ya, I'm in Montgomery. I frequent the drag strip here too. You should come down sometime.
Thanks for the props guys.

And it is a very tiny turbo apparently. I don't hear the spool up and the blow off is almost silent, maybe its just the audio recording. Cool car though.

Re: A little vid of my EG8 Turbo Hybrid (eg6ajk)
Very nice 4 door man...i'm extremely impressed
I would think that the quarter mile times would be a bit lower, considering is a GSR turbo @ 10psi...
I know a guy who runs low 14's on street tires with a stock GSR motor in an Si hatch...which actually weighs more than the LX 4 door...
Another video worth checking out: http://www.we-todd-did-racing....DE%3D
His is a SOHC D16Z6 Turbo @ 10 psi and he ran a 13.736@102.83

GET THOSE TIMES DOWN!!!!

Re: A little vid of my EG8 Turbo Hybrid (BauleyCivic)
Times are still high due to my crappy driving skills. The 13.8 was done before I was tuned. I was leaning out and having traction issues. I've been trying to get back to the track for 2 weeks now, but it's either been a track event (non-automotive) or rain that's kept me away. This Friday I'll be out of town so... I NEED TO GET BACK THERE!!
Also, realize that I'm running at 9.5:1 cr so I'm able to push up the boost. I'll be at probably 14psi next time I hit the track.
Thanks everyone for the props! It's really great to get such good feedback.
Oh, and as for the turbo being small.. it's not. It's a Garrett T3/T04E 57 trim. I thought it was odd that I wasn't hearing the spool either for a while, but it's getting louder for some reason. The BOV is a Blitz SS and it's very quiet. The video doesn't really let you hear either all that well. I like having it all pretty quiet. Keeps the Z28s and GTs coming back for more.. haha!
