Default A little smoke coming for my exhaust.

Ok i just did a rebuild on my car, I replaced the rings, and rod, and main bearings... The reason i rebuilt my gsr was cuz it smoked BAD! So now its still smokes just a little but could it be from too much gas??? I got a B&M FPR but no psi gauge but i dont know if thats what it is??? Air/Fuel ration wrong?? Need help cuz i dont want my rings to go bad again.

Mods:
B18C1
Slight Port and Polished Head
CTR Exhaust Cam
Crower Intake Cam
Crower Valve Springs
Crower Retainers
AEM Cam Gears
B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator
CTR Pistons
DC 4-2-1 Header
Custom Exhaust
DC Sports Short Ram Intake
Clutchmasters Clutch
GSR Tranny
Chipped P-28 ECU

Again it only gots 50 miles on the rebuild. Bottom End.

it could be fuel but it might be the head. the valve stem seals could be bad its normal if your motor is old so just redo your valves so pretty much rebuild your head

I know its a shitty response....but I don't know of any older honda that doesnt smoke a lil bit....did you or whoever rebuilt it stager the rings properly?...I've seen rebuilds that burn a bit of oil because the rings weren't staggered properly

get a fuel pressure gauge, or try a stock regulator, you said it's smoking cuz it's getting too much fuel so I wouldn't worry about the rings.

he asked if that was why, hes not saying it is! haha ya man, make sure they are staggered right. my buddies rings werent done very well, and his motor was puffin smoke a little too, redid it (staggered) and that fixed the issue. if thats not it, i suppose you might be getting too much fuel, but im not sure.

this might be a stupid question, but maybe not.

is the car even tuned? or did you just order a p28 off ebay with a "skunk 2 chip" and plug and play.

You need more than 50 miles to fully seat the rings. There's as many offered opinions of how to seat the rings as there are asshats in this world. I run non-detergent oil for the first 100 miles on a full rebuild like yours. After that, vavoline or something similar for another 500 miles. After that, go with Mobil 1. NEVER rev over 4k during the break-in. After 1000 miles, no smoke and and it's good to go.
