Little ecu chip help
Well I got the solid ecu light, pulled the ecu to check. Sure enough there was some water around the mounts and harness.
But what I really am trying to find out is what I found when I was checking the ecu. It has been chipped. I was unaware of this. The chip reads BTUNE 00 1 on it. Does anyone know anything about this chip? I've searched and can not find anything.
Leaning towards some type of either ebay or shop tuned chip.

Re: Little ecu chip help
also I noticed c51 and 52 do not have resistors soldered in. Is this a problem? I have only had experience chipping p28 but assume its quite similar.

Re: Little ecu chip help
I cut the jumper at j1 to get back to stock. There is a huge noticeable loss in low to mid power. So I am led to believe that it was tuned some what. I am not running rich at high rpms but have lost lots of power.
But I plan to solder in all the missing resistors and redo the solder job. Then I might take the ecu to my local shop and have them look at the base maps on it.
