a little confused about my DC header...
ok i got my dc header the other day, and i'm comparing it to my stock manifold, btw its a jdm b18c, its not in the car yet. so anyway, the stock manifold has an o2 sensor behind the oil pan, the header is missing the bung? is it because its the jdm version? is there an o2 bung on my cat? do i need something i don't have? any help would be great, thanks

Re: a little confused about my DC header... (Littlegreend15)
i had the same problem, got my DC 4-2-1 header for my b18c1 and thought it had a bung for the o2 sensor on it, but it didnt so i drilled a hole in the piping thats inbetween the header and the cat (didnt want the o2 sensor on the cat because the heat can ruin it or throw it off) and it worked out, just had to get the bung, drill a hole in the pipe, welded the bung over the hole, screwed the sensor in, and it worked for me

Re: a little confused about my DC header... (debo*)
if your car is a 94 it is obd 1 so it will only need 1 O2 sensor right, I had a dc header on a my usdm b18c1 in a 92 with just one O2 in the cat and I get no CELs, I think that is the way it is on obd-1, someone correct me if I'm wrong....

jdm b18c is obd-2.....needs to have 2 o2 sensors
your header came from a b-series obd-1 car car obviously
either drive with the cel, or drill and weld in a bungholio

Re: (HBP.EH2)
my engine is obd 1 its from a 94-95, it only has one 02 but its behind the oil pan right before the cat, i guess i'm just going to have to put a bung after the header, unless anyone else has an idea...

yours has to be different then, because there is not room, there is maybe an inch between where the pipes merge and flange, and that space is occupied by the mounting bracket

Re: (94_Del Sol)
i know its not fake, but its probably the the same one as yours, its for a gsr, and its a 4-1 ceramic coat. i just don't see why they wouldn't put the 02 bung on it, oh and its also about 5 inches shorter than the stock header, the stocker goes about 6 or 7 inches after the bracket, as i said this one only goes about 1 after they merge and that space is occupied by the bracket, i guess i'll have to make a pipe or something, or i might sell it and get the jdm one...

I have a 4-1 dc sports header and its from a 00 si. I actually got that 02 hole plugged up with a spark plug, because the pr3 ecu looks for 2 02 sensors that are closer to the head. I guess I can always hook up the spark plug and shoot some flames jk.
What car did you order the header for ? That is where the mistake happened.
