the switch is probably something the previous owner wired up. follow the wires and see where they go.

as for your motor, if it's a stock SOHC motor, it's a d16.

right underneath the upper radiator hose (on the block), is a little tab. on it is the engine code engraved. 92-95 civic si came with a SOHC VTEC motor (d16).

There's no OEM blue switch next to the ebrake. Who knows what it does.

For the block code, look where the tranny and block connects below the flange for the exhaust manifold.

the earlier SOHC VTEC motors didn't have the VTEC on the valve cover. i forgot what year when Honda started putting it on there.

the block will tell you exactly what you have.

By the look of all that wiring it seems that the extra switch is for the angel eye lights you have or maybe even fog lights. Hit the button and look at your car at night did anything change? FYI 95's have VTEC on the valve cover

your motor is the d16z6. it is the vtec motor that came in the 92-95 si's

as far as the switch goes... do like the other guys said, just follow the wires and see where they go
