lighter is better, but since you lessen the weight you lessen the inertia to get it moving. So you may have to give it more revs, that why many people dont prefer them on a b16 as to a b18

I have a 7lb Fidanza on my stock D16Z6 with an Exedy Stg1 clutch and love it. It's not hard to drive with at all. It revs up really fast, but you can still let the clutch out at 1000rpm from a standstill with no problem. I've had no complaints at all. Accelleration was improved a little too. There's really no downside to this mod.
Again, driving my D16Z6 with a 7lb flywheel is a piece of cake and isn't any harder to me. I think it's easier to get the needle where you want it too.

I have a 7lbs and didn't really notice a difference from stock... I also have a 4.785 final drive so that could be why the difference really wasn't noticeable..

I had a 7lb with a metal 3 puck and pressure plate all excedy on my B16A2 I loved the set up but I did notice that as fast as you gain RPM's you lose them the drop off is really quick. I did a decent amount of tracking with the car and noticed this to be ok but something to prepare for. I also noticed with the B16 that against B18's the flywheel helped more off the start, but around 4th I would start to get walked on. Seems like leveled off its advantages about mid 3rd gear to me. Just my .02

I had problems with a lightened JUN flywheel with ACT heavy duty clutch and full face street disc on my stock boosted LS (~270whp at the time)
Kept slipping and had better luck with a stock flywheel (resurfaced of course) and kept using one even when I was built to 400whp, but upgraded to a 4 puc unsprung disc eventually.
I know its "supposed" to be an NA flywheel but figured as long as its light it would do the job, but I guess not with boost? Something to do with inertia, momentum, rotating mass of a boosted motor verse all motor?
Just my experience and don't claim to know exactly why it acted the way it did. I know plenty of people with lightened flywheels on boosted applications that loved it, i just didn't have the same luck I guess
Now with a base k24 and type-s trans I have a JDM ITR flywheel (~11lbs?) with a competition stage 4 clutch and 6-puc disc. Looking to upgrade to the CC lightened flywheel (~8.1lbs) tho and should of done it in the first place...
