lighter aem pullies
Hey im just wondering are Aem pullies worth it for a b16a?
ive never really upgraded pullies on any of my cars, and im just wondering does it give me any gain?
and i also heard that it messes up your timing.
someone clearify please

my thought is that under-drive pullies are only good for a track car that will spend a lot of time in high rpm. this is because you aren't spinning your accesories fast enough when you are driving under normal conditions.
you can get similar effects by removing your a/c compressor and PS pump(and it's cheaper that way) if you are really concerned about being fast, you can stand to get rid of these...
the only other thing is if you have a "balanced" pulley like accords and preludes. (can't remember if some b16's have them or not) if this is the case, a stock size but light weight pulley will have results similar (but lesser) to a lightened flywheel.
all in all not worth it unless you are trying to shave hundreths off 1/4 mile times of an already highly tuned and modified car.

sorry if it doesn't run a 16, most of the time whenever i see someone with pullys they run a 15 or slower.. then complain about there vafc tune not being right ( lollers )
but i guess you have some engine work done then ?...

what makes u so confident bro?
a stock rsx type s runs low 15...what do u expect?
if you believe that theres no dif between 15 seconds and 14, and that if you believe if ur stock car is as fast as a hyundai...you should seriosuly step out of the honda scene and get into some big chevy v8's
