Default light steering, darty on highway?

The steering on my 93 hatchback is getting very light and is darty on the highway. I have a manual steering rack and it feels like turning a power steering rack =\ I had the car aligned about a month ago and was good then but now its getting bad. Could it be too much toe out causing this?

yes both toe out and very negitive camber settings would cause it, check to see if your tie rods are tight and check all the bolts on the suspension to make sure nothing has loosened up and moved. Also get your alignment settings checked to see if they have moved

im not real sure maybe some one else can answer this: can a manual steering rack go bad?
