Was it Lift Throttle Oversteer?
Ok, well I havent had my car on the road for quite a while and yesteday I really got on it. I was warming up for my third emissions test and was going around a very slight curve. Nothing drastic at all. I redlined through first, 7k in second, started letting up half way through third. Then it felt like my whole car was like shifted to the side.
Lacking confidence from recent other events surrounding my work on cars, I went ice cold and prepared for some catastrophic event. I steered into the right lane and slowly pulled into a lot. No problems, everything where it should be.
My setup:
stock teg front bar
ITR rear bar with BSQ kit
Prothane bushings
Koni Yellows
Neuspeed Sports
Yokohoama AVS ES 100s
Now this was my first experience with the Type R bar on the car and the tires are also brand new. Should I expect this to happen all the time. The curve was very slight and I was driving like I used to all the time (before new rear bar tires etc). Any tips on minimizing these effects. I guess I need to get used to driving it again, but it made me feel unsafe in the car.

Re: Was it Lift Throttle Oversteer? (BCRUZ)
Not rotation. I wasnt even really turning. The road was moving to the left maybe 5 to 10 degrees. It felt like the right side of the car sort of shifted like it wanted to aim me away from the slight turn and into the curb.
Guess I will check my bolts and then experiment further. Maybe mess with my Koni settings.

Re: Was it Lift Throttle Oversteer? (White Lightnin)
Hum, my first thoughts were about the tires. Are they brand spanking new? Sometimes when the new shinny skin is wearing off they might display some odd handling characteristics. If that's the case just drive around and let the tires get some heat through them and wear a bit before you go all out.
My other thought is just getting used to the new sway bar in the back.
Another thing: Was they any odd material on the road, perhaps some new sealing that was put down. Sometimes imperfections in the road can throw the feel of the car off.
Just some suggestions,
G
Edit: from your second reply I guess I would agree and maybe go over the bolts again, just to be safe.

Re: Was it Lift Throttle Oversteer? (g_man80)
The tires are very new. (less than 50 miles on them)
Im gonna be going on the expressway tonight for a ways to go to a meet and I dont want to end up in a wall or anything. Guess I will just go easy on it and recheck everything. Thanks guys.

u cant drive hard on brand new tires...that plus the fact that u have the rear sway prolly threw the rear out a little and scared the **** outta ya...wait a little longer till the tires are "broken in" and try again
next time, if it does happen..don't lift

Whats up Robert,
Finally get your car on the road again, huh. What you probably felt was like you said lift throttle oversteer. My car does the same thing now with my ST 22mm rear bar. When you lift off the throttle in a turn, the rear tires get unweighted and loose some traction. Just take it easy and slowly get use to it.

Tighten up the front end. Turun the konis down in the rear and higher up front.
Which teg front sway are you running ls or gsr? 94-95 ls/rs run a 21? mm up front compared to the gsr's 24mm.
my suggestion?
slow down.
