How long do the stock springs on hondas last? Do they ever need to be replaced? I know the struts/shocks wear out after time.

no they dont just replace the shocks

Dampers/struts are all you will need to replace. A spring can fail, but that would be something out of the ordinary.

You'd have to really abuse either for them to go out in less than 150-200k miles.

do you live in a place where rust is a concern?

on one of my old crx's two of the springs had rusted through and broke.

but yeah, under normal conditions 200,000 miles isn't an issue, and when it is an issue you will be able to tell cause the car won't be level.

my springs had 230k when they had some deeper than surface rust on them. They don't sag. Basically, if you live down south, never worry about the spring itself.
