Legalbility of rs-r gt2
I just bought the rs-r gt2 exhaust of modacar for my 97 civic i was wondering if it was legal in New York. I went to a muffler place around where i live and the guy said i wont find anyone to put it on which isnt the problem. But it wont pass emissions. He also said New York was on their way of matching Cali's exhaust laws. IS this true or was the guy talking out his ***?

that guys a dick, i got a full header back exhaust with no cat for $100 and he wasnt even gunna put a muffler on, tell that guy to get the dick out of his *** and stop being a little girly man.

You shouldn't really have a problem legally.
Passing inspection in the future is something we all will have to deal with. As the laws on that are getting stricter by the year. By 2006 they may require matching vins, meaning engine, tranny, ecu have to match-up? Which is hard to come by especially in H-T....

Legalbility.... is that even a word heh. Anyways yeah I would check the exhaust modification laws for new yourk. I seriously doubt itll be an issue but better safe than sorry.
