Legal questions about trading a car with some one in NY
Im trading my EK for this dudes 92 hatch but I dont know where to begin. Do I first go to the DMV and register his car under my name? then follow the same with insurance? Also, is it considred a gift because no money is invovled?

Im just guessing here but you should just be able to transfer titles to each other, they may have a special form for trading but not sure.

most states are ****** about it, but seeings how no money is changing hands i dont see how they can get ya on any technicalities and make ya pay the taxes for it
