Left my targa top unhooked the other night...
Luckily I only forgot to secure one side of the top. Now I am wondering if I caused any damage. I only drove for about a mile before I realized that one side wasn't secured. Anything I should do to make sure that there is no damage done?

The top itself. I guess I'm worrying about nothing. But I thought that since I drove around with one side unhooked for a brief period, that it might have damaged the targa top itself or the parts that secure it to the car.

It was rattling and such, didn't fly off the car. I looked at all the connecting stuff and it looks OK, it's not squeaking or anything like that.

Re: Left my targa top unhooked the other night... (explosive)
My friends targa top blew off of his Supra one time in the desert, but it was necessary, cause our buddy was hanging off the side of an 18wheeler with his arm stuck in a grappling hook
Nothing should have happened, luckily it didn't fly off, but I would probably keep an eye out for leaks in case some of the rubber ripped or seperated, should be fine though.

Part of me knew this was coming. Just ran some water over the top of the car and I'm not seeing any leakage.

keep a eye on the rubber seals make sure there are no little tears or rips cause those can lead to bigger rips when taking the top on and off. if u do find a tear i have found that high temp black silicone repairs weatherstripping very well

Thanks for the tip. That is a good idea if the stripping ever does rip.
