Default LED for vtec?

i just playing around on the net and seen that some guy wired an led to his vtec solenoid for when his vteck kicks in and i have never heard or read this on honda tech or any where else so i just would like to know if this is a bad thing to try and has anyone done this?

Ive seen a write up on here before about that. Prettty pointless imo.

i heard that it pulls a bit of power from the solenoid, but that can be fixed witha resistor. I am pllanning on doing this soon. Reason is that you can't feel vtec on a single cam

ya true its not like a dohc motor but the revs should still have a slight jump that u can hear and is is just craping out at like 5g

i put an led on my jdm d15d its nice to know when it kicks but thats the only thing it looks good but wow thats all nuthin special about it!

I don't know why most people have such problems hearing vtec on a sohc motor.

On my old 95 ex, I had just an intake and could clearly hear it.
