Default LED bulb site

So I spent the past 4 days painting my eg cluster bulbs and it did not work out to well. I sprayed 5 layers and they worked fine for about 15 minutes and then a burning smell then nothing . I have tried searching, but for some reason it doesn't work. I should have gone with LEDS from the beginning and I was wondering if any of you know a good LED site where I can get some? Thanks in advance.

autolumination.com

FANTASTIC site.

For your EG cluster, I reccomend buying the colored glass ones they have. Much more even lighting than LED's. Looks more oem too. I've had amber LED's, amber glass, and am now back to stock. LED's just don't cut it unless you buy the superstar ones, and those are $5-10 each .

The bulbs you're gonna need are 74, 24, and 194:

Neo-Wedge twist outs. They work for cruise control, OEM foglight buttons (not esuse or depo), hazards, and defog.

Best bet is to get them from honda because the 10mm neo-wedges they have on autolumination are too big. They come in four different colors from honda:

Amber (white condom) - on/off indication for defrost + jdm foglight on/off indication
BULB - 35850-SV4-981

99-00 Climate Control Neo-Wedges:
BULB, NEO-WEDGE - 79609-S02-A01 (blue condom)
BULB, NEO-WEDGE - 79609-S02-A11 (amber condom)

Greenish-White (blue condom) - defrost illumination for 96-98 civic cx/dx/lx/ex
BULB (BLUE) - 35850-S04-003

Green (green condom) - oem foglight on/off indication + cruise control
BULB (G) - 35852-ST3-G01

Clear (no condom) - hazard illumination
BULB, NEO-WEDGE (CLEAR)(TEC) - 35851-SM4-003

Too bad they don't carry the right products to do a gauge cluster.

Dont use paint, I tried it and hated the results. Go buy some CLEAR bulbs and use a red sharpie on them...sounds odd but the results are very very nice. Do one complete layer, let it dry then do a second pass. I've had mine in for about a month with ZERO fading.

This is mine.

That's the Climate control AND Gauge Cluster done with clear bulbs(not the stock ones) and red sharpie. Results are great.

Gauge clusters don't use 74's, climate controls do.

Odd, because when I did mine with sharpie, they faded within a month.

i have an EJ1... i painted mine with red enamel from Home Depot (3in. tall small spray can)... i think i gave mine a light first two coat then one heavy one.... i love mine... its been 5 months with tons of night driving, say... 4 days out of 7 all nighters? well, what i was trying to point out was my gauges were probably on more than most people. idunno... did any one get what i was tryin to say? lol

did you buy new replacement bulbs first? or did you just ripp off the condom off the old one? I tried painting one bulb with a ripped off condom the result was **** compared to new bulb + paint.

edit: oh yah... when i painted mine, i only waited like 4 hours till i couldnt resist putting them in. still came out super duper goood!

Are you using the right resistors, it sounds like there is too much voltage if you are frying an LED.

another site to get LEDs is http://www.digikey.com , you have to be into electronics to understand how they are describing LEDs but it that site is an industry standard.

Cheers.
