Leaking: steering wheel bushing?
was removing steering wheel control from the front assembly. looks like I punctured it and black oozey grease came out. is that gonna be a problem or will it be fine?
should I replace or can I just leave it?

Inner or outter boots? The one next to the steering knuckle or the rack and pinion itself? If it's the one on the steering knuckle then that's called a tie rod. Which is easy to fix.
