Default leaking oil on the front of block/tranny.been

Ok so ive been leaking oil on the front of my block and tranny and also the back but thats a axel seal.

i was just wondering if the revers sensor not being there can cause the tranny to leak oil? Btw its a 97 cx tranny

i have the d16y8 and i have a oil leak on the front of my motor i'm almost positive mine is my dipstick tube check that out also check your cam and crank seals

Clean everything off and run the car for a few miles and look at it again.

check your distributor o ring common for them to leak.

check the crank seal it could be coming from there and slinging oil everywhere

if he said i have a bunch of noticeable oil on top of my trans and under my distributor this theory would make some sense

by ur distributor on the head there is a bleeder screw that use an alan to tighten or loosen... sometimes those come lose and oil can leak out there.... if it is take it out and put some thread lock on it and put it back in...

have you recently removed your tranny and swapped it? if so... did you replace the gasket for the tranny? if not, you could be leaking there. but only if you've swapped your tranny recently.

Clean your engine and buy an oil leak detection kit. This kit has a dye that glow under black light. This way you can pin point the leak.

Without a reverse switch, there will be a hole for fluid to escape. Why do you not have the switch installed?
