leaking oil on the front of block/tranny.been
Ok so ive been leaking oil on the front of my block and tranny and also the back but thats a axel seal.
i was just wondering if the revers sensor not being there can cause the tranny to leak oil? Btw its a 97 cx tranny

if he said i have a bunch of noticeable oil on top of my trans and under my distributor this theory would make some sense

its hard to figure out where you are describing the leak.

by ur distributor on the head there is a bleeder screw that use an alan to tighten or loosen... sometimes those come lose and oil can leak out there.... if it is take it out and put some thread lock on it and put it back in...

have you recently removed your tranny and swapped it? if so... did you replace the gasket for the tranny? if not, you could be leaking there. but only if you've swapped your tranny recently.

Without a reverse switch, there will be a hole for fluid to escape. Why do you not have the switch installed?
