SPOCK

i have a 92 hatch and my floor mats are soaked with water/coolant. i dont know who it got there because i am assuming that the heater core is behind the center console. and the water is forming in the middle of the mat. its not running down any of the sides. it only seems to be around the middle. i think it is comming from underneith the mat. is there such a way that the coolant from my car is leaking inbetween the firewall and into the floor. also i am loosing a lot of coolant . this has been going on for about 2 weeks now. i luckly can drive abound for a few miles (20-30) before i start to overheat, then i refill my radiator. please help if anyone has a idea of how to fix
