LCA Bushing question, when/what to change with
I have ITR LCA on my EG hatch, I'm going to be changing my suspension soon, and I was wondering when it was out if I should change the LCA bushing. How do I tell if it needs to be changed? Also, what should I change it with? OEM? or is there something "better"? I also find it interesting that a bushing is listed in the parts diagram for 88 civic rear LCAs but not for ITRs.

Re: LCA Bushing question, when/what to change with
Bushing should be changed if over 60k mmiles just like all suspension components. Will people follow this? Probably not. If the bushing is loose or cracked, replace. And yes there is a "performance " upgrade. Its called polyurathane. I spelled it wrong most likely. But thats it. Energy suspension makes a full bushing set. Check em out.
As for how to replace those bushings, use a bench vice with a socket. Make sure the asocket is big enough to allow the bushing out the other side. Press it out. And press new one in.
Friendly tip, clean the inside of bushing hole with sandpaper and lube the hole and also the bushing to wnsure a good seat and also long life.
Hope this hhelps
