Default Is this lca bent?

I have a 92 hatch and already searched with no results.

Today I took my car for an alignment and I was told that my alignment couldn't be completed because of a warped passenger side lower control arm. When I got home, I jacked up the car and noticed that it looks perfectly fine. I did hit a pot hole that would make anyone with low profile rims cry. The frame also appears to have been in a previous wreck on that side too so I am kinda afraid.

Can the lca can be bent but not noticeable by eye? If it was a tweaked frame, wouldn't the alignment shop blame that instead of asking $4XX to get my lca complete? I will buy a brand new lca and have the car realigned.

Here are pictures of the results:

here are some pictures of the lca:

yes

does your car pull? first thing i do to fix a caster problem or a toe problem is a shock, worst case scenario, shock, knuckle, lca.

and just out of curiosity what machine was this done on?

Whatever you do , do not buy a LCA from your local honda dealer . They will rape you. My LCA cost me 185 from a honda dealer. I later found them online for like 115 shipped . Just look around.

I dont see why they didnt do the alignment. From that shot of the printout they set it up and got the measurements and stopped.

Look at your toe on the right side -0.54 wtf is that, your car must pull and your steering wheel could be off.

Caster is what you would be looking for for bent suspension components. It is out of spec on both sides, but you said it had been in an accident before so there you go. Its only out by 0.2, you could shift the subframe a little and bring it back in spec most likely. I would try that and if it doesnt work get new front lower control arms, and go from there.

They could've aligned your vehicle, I would have if I was doing it and let you know what to look into to fix the caster prob.

Front toe should be close to 0.00 for 88-95 per side
Rear should be about 0.05 or 0.06

Both of which couldve been brought in spec.

to this shop that looked at your car.

Thanks for the reply.

If I need an lca I feel safer getting one from the dealer. I don't trust buying a used one because there are too many things that could go wrong.

I removed them and put energy suspension bushing in them. I just did a RHD conversion and took them out an used them in my new arms.......Bushings are already removed and ready for new ones.

Is there any reason why the shop didn't check my caster? I have a 96EK. Took it in for a 4 wheel computerized alignment, only did camber and toe, didn't even check what caster was...

Thanks for the info. I read this site A Short Course On Wheel Alignment and now understand what you are talking about. Unless the parts are completely out of wack, the toe should be adjustable. The camber is also within spec on all wheels.
