Landspeed Racing Spring shock set... is this a good setup?
I'm thinking about getting springs and shocks combo ($400) from landspeed racing but the price seems too good to be true... are they crappy shocks or something? anyone know?

I wouldn't trust them. The only Landspeed suspension product i've seen/read about is on a Stupid Street article for one of it's workers Integra

I would say go with the tried and true Koni's, KYB's, Neuspeeds, etc. Maybe a little more, but you can be damn sure of what you're getting.

My set up is Ground Control Coilovers/ Koni Yellow adjustables...they ride great to me..and i have had experinece with other suspesnsion set-ups...my friend with a 2000 Si has Skunk 2s and KYB AGX...it handles fine...except its still a lil on the bouncy side...i think its because Skunks use high spring rates....but my best bet is if u wanna good ride..go for ground/control and Koni yellows...it cost me 300 for the ground controls and 560 for the Koni Yellows....This could mean the difference between CHOCOLATE and ****!!!!!..Becareful..don't take the easy way out!

Depends on how much you want to drop it. If you are looking for 2"-2.25", then I would suggest Neuspeed Race springs on Koni Yellows. If you are looking for 1.5"-1.75", then I would suggest the Neuspeed Sport springs on the Koni Yellows. All depends on what you want...

I would still recommend the Neuspeed Race springs, they give you a 2.25" drop and a decent ride with decent performance. You can get them from Ben at importparts.com for $180 for the set. And you can trust importparts.com completely Ben is on this message board and is excellent with customer service.
If you want to be close to $400 then you can count adjustable shocks out, they can EASILY be $400 alone without the springs. You could probably pick up some Tokico Blues (non-adjustable) for somewhere between $270 and $310. Importparts.com does not have an application listed for the '92 hatch, but you could email them and ask. They will probably have close to, if not the best, price around. You can get Koni Red's (also non-adjustable) from http://www.modacar.com for $330. If the Tokico Blues and the Koni Reds come out to be fairly close in price, DEFINATELY go for the Konis.

Ok, i found some neuspeed race springs for $155 and Koni yellows for $529... good deal? Are the koni yellows externally adjustable, like from the top of the shock tower? Thanks.

Yes, good deal on the springs. http://www.prodigyworks.com has the Koni Yellows for $515, but I don't know anything about the company or their reliability. I still suggest you contact Ben at importparts.com (sales@importparts.com, 800-662-9552) and Wallee at MachIII (info@machiii.net, 415-594-0029) to find their prices, they quite possibly be less (especially if you tell Ben you're from Honda-Tech)

Re: Landspeed Racing Spring shock set... is this a good setup? (B18CivicHB)
wussup dawg...anyways....neuspeed springs sags really bad, so you really need a camber kit for it if you are gonna use race springs...it will settle at like 2.75"...get eibach sportlines...after it settles it will be 2" all around, the perfect drop imo...also you would only need tokico blues if you get the eibach...and the ride will be close to stock...you can get the springs and shocks anywhere like on ebay or your local shop...go ask around...good luck man

I said I don't want a title!
Re: Landspeed Racing Spring shock set... is this a good setup? (B18CivicHB)
Why everyone is pushing Koni yellows for a street car is beyond me. Tokico HPs (Blues) or Tokico Illumnias will be more than enough for a typical set of Neuspeed Lowering springs. Tokicos are cheaper and just as good as the Konis on the street.

Re: Landspeed Racing Spring shock set... is this a good setup? (B18CivicHB)
Camber will be fine if you lower no more than 1.5". Beyond that you'll start to experience increased tire wear. Eibach Prokit or the Neuspeed SofSports/Sports would be my choice if you want to have a good ride and look without screwing anything else up.
Plus, the lower you go, the harder it is on your CV joints.
