Lack of engine power
I have a 99 Civic Ex and got into an accident recently. The front end was slightly damaged. After i got the front fixed I noticed a lack of power. Doesn't feel it's normal, when i accelerate there is a little lag. Any ideas anyone? Battery also did die when it was in the body shop because they never turned it on, I just got it jumped and its fine now. But yea, don't want to take it to shop where they charge me some ridiculous price to check what's wrong. Appreciate any help. Thanks

your battery will charge back up while it's running. as far as you motor ? is their damage to the motor ? it's not going to rob performance if you get in a fender bender. how hard was the hit and what was repaired ?

Yeah. how bad was it?
is the power loss all across the power band, or just low end?
sounds like at one point you had an electrical short.
My car came with an electrical short also. It bogs hard below 2500rpm, not so bad up to 3000rpm, then i get full power. still a mystery to me also.
i would check your electrical system. but we need more info to help you.
