Default L3 SI Tranny

I did a little research and haven't found much. What is this out of and is it a good trans. Also he is selling it for $100 so what do you think if the trans is good. Thanks

It didn't space out like it should have so here is the link. It is a 5 speed out of an SI CRX I am guessing. http://www.crxsi.com/specs.htm Please let me know what you think. Thanks

If it's truly an Si trans then i'd buy it for $100.00.

I'd pick up the 5 main case bearings for it, slap them in, and drive.

What tranny do you currently run?

What car is this going into? The CRX si (unless they slapped a hydro tranny in them in latter years other places) would be a cable transmission. I'd most likely pass on it.

there's a code stamped on the casing that should help you id if it really is an si transmission. and yes, its a cable operated clutch

Hehehe...

I had just posted two topics in the EF Forum when I clicked this topic, so I was in "EF mode" and didn't even realize this topic is in the EG forum.

I too would agree - if you're looking for a tranny for a 92-up Civic, the 88-91 L3 is NOT what you want.

a thousand times on me!
