Default kyougen lugs

I am looking for new lightweight lugs preferably kyougen instead of volk due to cost. Other than ebay and groupbuycenter.com, anyone know where I can get them cheap?

Also any other lugs that are black and really light?

I've heard people complaing that the kyokugen key is too soft and will deform after repeated use, but this hasn't been the case for me. I mean for the price you get a set of nice looking seven sided lugs that not only look good but also add security. I'm happy with mine, but I'm sure others will tell you differently.

Never had any problems here either, but I've heard of people having problems.

I looked at my lugs, and they say 88-118Nm, not Ft/Lbs.

So I checked, and 88-118Nm = 60-80 Ft/Lbs.

This could be why the keys are breaking, cuz we all know that everyone has a torque wrench handy when they put their lugs on........

my friend had a problem with his key, so i let him use mine. now my key is deformed slightly, i have to be real careful to not make it worse when i remove the lug nuts. kyokugens are good if you dont plan on taking your wheels on and off all the time. i got mine for $35 from dynamic autosports in irvine, ca.

they only add security for the casual thief, but a good theif would just buy a set and get the KEY for EVERYONE who has them.

I have the spline drive set with locks by mcguard...cost me 70 bux, but well worht the money...

They are closed end lugs though, so you can't use them with extended lugs like you can the kyokokokogogogog ones

I had this problem. I guess discount tire tightened my lug nuts down to tight and I had to replace two of them when i finally got them off.

These lug nuts are not exactly the best, although they look pretty cool. I can tell you right now, I will NOT be using them on my new car. I just don't like the idea of lugnuts/keys rounding out.

I give kykugen

a good thief will just steal the whole damn car....no one steals wheels anymore, its just too easy to take the entire car somewhere private and strip it....

I had an interesting conversation with the importers of the Kyokugen lugs, apparantly, there are not too many reports of broken or damaged keys.

SO, if you have damaged or broke your key, contact the people who sold them to you and let them know there is a problem, and to contact the importers of kyokugen. If the manufacturer knows about the problem, they can fix it.
