gr2's are oem replacements and $400 is a ripoff.

for $450 you could get koni yellows. Arguably the best Off the shelf shock for hondas.

i have gr2's. $400 is way too much. they are considerably stiffer than oem though. honestly not the best choice though. find something better. i just got em cause my boy had em mad cheap.

I got my full set for $120. Anyway, they're better than OE, but don't expect much beyond that

i got my set for $150 new. thats the only reason why i got them..i have them with eibach sportlines...they ride realllllly soft...not to my likings...after the winter they're coming off...

yes GR2's are OEM replacements...i wouldnt really recommend them...there are better shocks/struts out there.

I paid around 200 for mine as well. Just to clear something up though, they arent 100% OEM replacement, meaning that they ARE made to be lowered on, as where an OEM Honda one is NOT meant to be lowered on. Basically, they are just a notch above OEM shocks/struts. Same ride quality (pending on spring choice,) but can handle being lowered on. Ive been using the GR-2's for almost 5 years now. Theyve never given me a problem. Then again, I dont have my car "ghetto slammed" either, just modestly lowered. If you plan on having a pretty low ride stance, and also would like to do some autocrossing with the car, I would suggest the Koni Yellows, or atleast the KYB AGX's.

i got it down to $250 still worth it? still better then stock shocks? would it ride better with skunk 2 springs? because i'm planning on dumping my car, but i don't wan the ride to be shitty. so any suggestions? buy the shocks for $250 or just ride with skunk2 and just leave it and save money for something else? like a wwrs lip yo

For $250 you could get some used illuminas and you'll be 10x happier.

eBay has them for a cheaper price, probably better to save up for some better shocks.

you dont want to "dump" your car with GR2's. I have a set in the rear, and im tucking tire, and i hate the ride. Im going AGXs in the rear like i have in the front.

btw 250 for all 4 GR2s? i sell them at like $49 brandnew a shock.

how much are you looking to spend? if you plan on having the car for awhile and are looking for great performance go with the koni yellow setup.

check out the skunk2 sport shocks. they are non-adjustable shocks that are made specifically for lowered cars. they are also only about 250 for a full set.

Kyb are good shocks but are way stiffer than oem. I find tokico to be smoother.

Very few struts are going to ride well "dumped" anywaysm but the GR-2s will definately be a bad choice for anything lower than 2'' or so.

I own a set on my daily driven EF and I love them paired with Tein S Tech springs. The GR-2 is slightly stiffer than stock, but not much more.

If you're seriously going to "dump" the car you might as well buy shitty coil-over sleeves and toss them on stock, blown shocks anyways, because it's going to ride like *** unless you spend the big bucks and get full true coil-overs with adjustable shock bodies, not just spring perches.

Actually I take that back - you can have a great ride and be dumped if you get shortened shocks. I had a set of full Neuspeed/Bilstein coil-overs and the car tucked 195/50/15s and seriously rode better than any lowered car I've ever ridden in. The thing is that that set-up lists for close to $1,000.00 - if you've got the money I seriously suggest them.
