Re: Kyb Agx on my hatch? (eg64u)

it should work but the warrenty on the kyb is no more than an 1.5 in drop.

eg64u 09-28-2004 07:38 PM

hmm i wonder how long it would last on my drop?

Re: (eg64u)

im on agx and ground control. my car is lower with no fender gaps (2"?) and the agxs has been holding up pretty well over 2 years.

I am rolling AGX on my hatch with neuspeed race springs(2.25front 2.00rear) work fine with my setup. Should work ok with yours

shuttle xer 09-28-2004 08:31 PM

i like your avatar

eg64u 09-28-2004 08:45 PM

lol thanks ....i like yours tooo...???lol yea i think its going to work i found out that my springs are tanabe super down precedeo... and it seems that my drop is 1.5in in the front and 1.3inch in the back so i think im good for the warranty and im good for the kyb's to work properly.... i just ordered them btw 314.00 shipped insured

eg64u 09-28-2004 08:46 PM

oh yea , tanabe springs are bad ass in my book

KYB AGX's are great dampers for normal driving.

the whole thing about the 1.5 inch warrenty is some bull shit.

i had my car like this for 2 years the dampers were still wroking great when i took them off and to my knowledge are still working find on another HT members car.

http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MXk1NDE%3D.jpg

i now run koni yellows and they are a much better damper but for daily use the agx's were fine

Koni Yellows suck ass. My only experience with them has been bad (two sets of them leaking and, thus, failing within one year), yet I road race on my AGX's and they're wonderful.

Thats interesting to know. I've only heard good things about the Koni's before. I'm running AGX's right now, and liking them. I was thinking about getting the koni's, will need to think twice now. I'm running a 2 inch drop on the agx's. Been going strong for 2 years.

Oh, they did replace them for free. Too bad that doesn't help me install and uninstall them on my car and succeed at the racing I enjoy https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif. I can't vouch for the Civic Konis, but the RSX ones that I'm familiar with just plain blow.

where did you pick up kyb ags's for $314? And they are adjustable, right?

how does your guys civics ride. i am looking to buy some really soon.

Re: (zdowell17)

words will not describe it... teh ride will be a bit stiffer and ride firmer if you lower your car instead of bouncing around like an impala on bags... I am sure thats what you want to hear so im happy to oblige.

I guess different strokes for different folks, im not buying agx again they blew within no time. I have a lifetime warranty on them but I have to pay 280 for labor and alignment for them to get replaced.
