any experience with the koyo? i'm reffering to the plastic tank aluminum 1" single core not the race rad, i can get em for about the same price and my old dual core never gave me any problems besides cracking when i dropped the car off a jack.

AFAIK, the non race radiator's don't have aluminum core. The "aluminum" ones just have aluminum end caps, vs the plastic end caps. They all have brass/copper cores.

I'm running this one with my B16. No problems, then again, it doesn't get that hot around here.

Civic EX and Si have a stock dual core rad? That's news to me . . . mine sure didn't.

Maybe if it's an automatic or something . . . AFAIK, the only '92-00 Civic with a dual core rad was the del Sol VTEC.

I think it's getting to the point that half of us are dealing with not perfectly OEM cars. I spent like a week trying to figure out why all the Dual Core radiators I kept getting weren't any thicker than the 'stock' radiator I had in my VX (I had already thrown out my CX radiator, so no way to contrast) Turns out, it was a dual core. Who knows who decided to put one in a while ago. AFAIK, even honda might have been intermitent about it

True, a lot of these cars probably have aftermarket rads in them by now. Apparently, a lot of the companies that make replacement half-size rads (that you can buy at AutoZone or similar places) for Civics just make them all dual-core.
