Default kosei k1 question

I am about to pick up a set of kosei k1 racings for my del sol
15" rims
my question is this
how wide a tire can I run, and is a 50 sidewall the right size for a sol on a 15"
I was thinking 205/50/15

or 215/50/15

whats the widest tire i can run on a 15" kosei

but i want a wider profile
will a 205/50/15 be alright?

and as for the del sol
I know there are 2 offsets
a wider one and a narrower one

I want the one that makes the wheels stick out more
gives it almost a rally look
I am not concerned about being able to tuck the tires in the wheel wells

I run 205/50 A032R's on the Kosei's and it works fine. some rubbing under extreme steering angles, otherwise no problems.
This is w/ a HB

I run 205/50x15" Azenis tires on my 15x7" Kosei K1s. Just make sure you get 45mm offset and then get some 2-3mm spacers. Mine were hitting the rear upper control arms, but a 38mm offset would hit the fenderlips.

I have 205/50 15 Hoosier r3s03's on my 5th gen. with K1's(15x7 38mm offset). Work with a little "love" on the flanges. With any other tire, i'm sure they'll be fine. 195's look anemic on the car.

Instead of getting those spacers, you can just shave off the edge of the rear upper control arm. I still don't know why Honda didn't do it to all their cars, because there were very tight clearance (2-3mm of room) between the 15x7" 45mm kosei and the rear upper arm of a 99 GSR. But that was not the case when I tried installing it on a 99 Civic Si. So it's perfectly safe to do it that way.

"45 mm offset is the one that sticks out a little better??"

no-the more offset(larger #) the more inboard it pushes the wheel. The closer to zero offset, the further out(typical rwd fitments are this way).
Good luck.
