Re: koni yellow installation help! (jigga)
i don't get what you're doing wrong... after the big washer over the 'nub', put the tophat on, then tighten down the nut on the shaft, then put the other nut on to lock it...

only possible thing i can think of is that you didn't put the new bigger metal sleeve throw the top hat so that wont go on. but it seems that you did that.
the metal washer needs to set rigtht on the mtal nub, don't worry were the **** the bumb stop is it will adjust itself.
and FYI you will have more of the top of the strut sticking out then on a stock strut, but nothing over an inch.

**** thats waaaaay off
(w/ imagestation remove the last .orig.jpg from the link)
Ok...you need some bushings. The stock ones are a little too tight so you need to widen them out...but then the metal collar is also too narrow so TS on that.
Call up koni and order a set. Thats all you can do. I'd seriously doubt that anyone will have a set of koni bushings and collars sitting around to sell you.
One bushing on the top of the hat, one on the bottom, w/ the collar running through....just like how it was when you removed your stock setup.

Also, make sure you have the right "washer" over the "metal nub" and bumpstop. It's not a normal flat washer and it's WAY thick. The top hat should have the bushings pressed in with the "peaks" facing away from each other, with a "collar" in the center.

^that's exactly what i wasn't doing.. the shocks didn't come with any washers or hardware. i'm screwed.. i'm miising "the" washer and the koni bushings and bushing collars.

like i said, just hit up koni directly and order what you need
it wont be very expensive
You could also use the stock items if you bored them out a bit

Re: koni yellow installation help! (jigga)
you're missing a metal washer that doesn't go all the way down the shaft, it stops the strut from doing exactly what its doing.
