Please help, i have a knocking when going forward in a straight line!!! I don't know what it is! I know its not the engine cause when at idle it doesn't knock, only when vehicle moves forward!

Rods are about to go = boom. Exactly what my car did before it blew up. It didn't knock unless I was in gear. Better invest in a new engine ASAP before you get stranded...

Does your car want to die after it's been running for about 5-10 minutes? Mine kept cutting out after about 15 minutes of running and it would start, then die quickly when I tried to go. (Though, that was when the rods were near the brink of blowing through my block) I would NOT recommend driving it unless you are taking it to a shop to get fixed, otherwise it's more money...

if you keep it still and you rev it up, does it knock? and is it manual or automatic?
if it knocks when its not in gear when you rev it up then ur ****ed.

its nothing like a rod going, i had that in a previous car and i know what its sounds like!, it sounds more like when the wheels are in motion, that is when it knocks! When i rev the motor, nothing happens! It is 5 speed, I replaced the cv's about a year and half ago, maybe they snapped or came loose from the boots, and i replaced the front lca's about 3 months ago! I just can't figure out what it is?

Could be a broken motor mount.

I broke a motor mount on my old crappy Grand Am once and it did that from the engine knocking against the engine bay.

u got the correct lug nuts on ur rims? check them they could be loose i had the same thing happen to me luckily the wheel didnt pop off
