knock sensor question... search is down.
Who knows what the knock sensor output should look like. Like what does the ecu see when there is no knock andwhen there is knock. My forged pistons make a lot of noise when cold but it isn't noticble when warmed up. I just wanted to look at the knock output and see if it was picking up anything which might be screwing up things.

I believe it listens for certain noises, not sure what the noises are but I know the sensor listens for the noises in the water jacket. Bump for you though

I understand it's function.. It looks for detonation in the cylinders. The explosion creates some kind of vibration in the sensor which I'm guessing creates some kind of voltage. That's the part i'm interested in.. What signal it sends to the ecu and if it can be read with a volt meter or something to see what is going on.
