knock sensor question.
95 civic VX harness w/ obd1 b16a.
-vehicle has two codes. 14 and 10 with the p30 ecu.
-vehicle wont hold idle, and is running rich
-timing is tdc iacv seems to work(swapped with another) same problem i cleaned both.
but i was wondering about the knock sesnor when i intially did the swap the vx harness plugged into the b16 knock sensor..but the original engine does not have a ks..so im wondering what i could of plugged in..and maybe thats why the car is running like it is.

Re: knock sensor question. (matthevelli)
When i had accidentally broke my knock sensor while working on my intake manifold my car ran the exact same besides the check engine light. This is on a b16b with the JDM ctr ECU.

double check if your IAT IAC wires are wired up right from the sensor to the ecu its possible that they might be miss pinned or not plugged in all the way. its usually a common problem. bout double check the circuits. hope that helps. oh yeah wire up your knock sensor too if thats not wired.
