So i was swapping out the gsr manofold for a skunk2 and I broke the knock sensor, or what i believe to be the knock sensor. Should I buy a new snesor while I have perfect access to it? But also im getting my car tuned next week with neptune, is there some way to eliminate the sensor through the tuning? Immediate replys are appreciated bc i have to have this done by tmrw, friday 23rd.

new from the dealer that sensor is expensive, yes you can have it eliminated by using neptune or crome. vtec wont engage without it until you do so.

Thanks. Yeah the sensor costs $180. I just called the tuner and he told me not to worry about it.

even though thats broke , it will still work. ive seen a couple like that , in fact a DA i have in the garage right now waiting for block to come back from machine shop for LSVTEC build , has the same issue. broken exact same way. it still works. epoxy it back together. there hard to come by used. but yes , depending on what your tuning with , can be disabled for sure.
