So...would you use it it on an LS-Vtec setup or just chip your ECU to not find it? Im going to be doing my setup soon and am curious. Thanks.

ya i know its got nothing to do with speed just tryin to associate and see if its like a similar idea of the speed sensor thats all ... prob a dumb question but tryin to associate if that make sense?

The knock sensor is basically a microphone that listens for the specific frequency of pre-detonation (pinging). When detected the ecu will retard the timing in an attempt to stop the pre-detonation. I have heard that the Honda ones are not that good but I would figure better than nothing. I know mine has worked in the past.

a knock sensor just detunes ur car a lil bit..... i cancelled mine out.

Why would you cancel it? It wouldn't detune your car if it was not pinging right? It shouldn't be pinging. Just wondering.
