If you turn the ignition switch on but don't start the motor and you cannot hear the fuel pump priming...you aren't getting fuel.
That could mean the fuel pump is bad, the relay is bad, or the wiring is bad. But most likely either your fuel pump died or one of the relays has gone bad...start with checking your relays.

My Si has done the same thing. Any chance this happened after a long drive, or possibly a hot day?
Mine has always started up after I let it sit (key off) for maybe 30 seconds and tried again though. The pump would turn on though, and I recently replaced the distributor, so I don't know how what I just said is relevant.
Rather than go on forever about this, narrow down the problem first. Start easy with fuses, relays, etc. Pumps usually die slow, they whine for a while, then die. Generally in rush hour traffic when your already late for work. You should be able to hear the relay click when the CEL shuts off, take the back seat out and you should be able to hear the pump go for that couple of seconds. If that checks out, get a pressure tester and don't blast yourself with fuel. Or turn it over for a few seconds with one of the plugs out and smell for fuel.
btw, Alternator has absolutely nothing to do with starting the vehicle.

Re: kinda stumpped
--to check if u really have fuel goin to the rail is to take that return line after the fpr and have someone turn the key to ON and see if theres fuel coming out of there. then if theres not then check fuses. then if they are good then check if u can hear the MAIN RELAY is clicking, if it does then the relay is good
--do u have spark? pull one of the wires and put a screwdriver and c if u have spark coming out

Re: kinda stumpped
sounds like main relay. They can create a magnetic field on hot days and that fries the relay. so check that. I believe they're like 60 bucks at the honda dealership

Re: kinda stumpped
yoru main relay is made up of metal components.
on hot days and with hot current running through it those parts will expand slighlty. this expantion will not allow full conttc of the main relay.
on cold days metal contracts. or after the vehicle sits fo an hour or so. this allows a better contact patch on this main relay.

to the left under the steering column, sorta around the fusebox. Should look like a little brown box, or maybe black or grey.
I'm almost sure that's what your problem is.
