Kind of a dumb question but.....
I was under my car changing my oil and noticed on the oil pan there is a stamp that says "P72"
Just out of pure morbid curiosity, does this refer to the ECU?

Naw, its the original b16a2 but if I think back there is a slight possibility that it has an oil pan from a Type R. I could add that to my "mod list" and sell it for mad cash.

yeah mostly likely the original owner might of change th e oil pan...casue you can use the type r or gsr oil pan for the b16..
and only the type r or gsr has the stamping of "p72" not b16 nor the LS

Yeah, I just know that the last time we had the motor out of the car we also had a stack of ITR oil pans and it is possible that one made it on my block durring assembly.
It was just something I never noticed before and saw today while I was under there and figured if anyone knew it would be someone here. Thanks again.
