sooo im gonna put a kill switch in my EG hatch.....im gonna use it at night time to discourage theives......i want a good place to put it possibly under the hood/in the glove box/ in the hatch somewhere....any got any good ides as to where to put it and what kinda switch to use?

Think like a thief. Think about where they would look and mount it somewhere they wouldn't think of looking at first. It might be inconvenient for you, but it feels better knowing your car is "safe."

I have a flip switch in my car. I friend of mine has a button switch (think of how a horn button works) in his. You have to hold it down to get spark.
I HAD mine mounted on the bottom edge of the e-brake cover and it was cool because the carpeting surrounded the switch so it was really hard to see.

You should also throw in some dummy switches to throw possible thieves off.
Hope this gives you an idea of what to do.
It sucks that we have to go through all this just to feel safer about our cars.

Or you could always put it on the steering wheel. >.>

Edit: It goes without saying, put it somewhere creative and not easily seen from the inside or outside of the car.

I agree about this defeating the purpose but i hardly ever even use mine so its no biggie to me. I put my toggle switch in the little coin pocket where i keep business cards and such.

well obviosuly i WONT post where i decide to put it....i just wanted some ideas as to where/how to mount it.....i have some ideas of my own....maybe 2 switchs in a line so that they have to be in a certain order to start the car? IDK

haha yupp i dont know **** all about wiring really.....my friend is gonan wire it up for me....truth is my EG already has a kill switch in the dash from a previous owner i just wanna move it ASAP cuz i donno how many previous owners know about it.....

Relocating it should be very easy. Just run the wires elsewhere and you can use a good, removable glue, or pilot holes to mount the switch elsewhere.
